Mission Statement
The mission of Laboratory Animal Medical Services is to provide an animal care and use program for the University of Cincinnati research and teaching community. This program provides for the health, husbandry and veterinary medical care of animals under the University of Cincinnati’s stewardship. The department delivers such care in a compassionate, humane, and respectful manner, as well as maintain the highest standards of quality and strives to maintain AAALAC accreditation and compliance excellence. Laboratory Animal Medical Services serves as a resource to the medical research community through the provision of education, training and consultative services and provides leadership and direction in response to scientific advancements.
