Requesting Animal Housing Space

To request additional animal space (e.g. expanding colony, dedicated space, or new facility location) please complete a LAMS Service/Equipment Request Form listing the following information:

• Principle Investigator Name
• Contact Information
• Species
• Sex
• Number of Animals
• Current location of Animals
• Facility where space is requested
• Caging type (PIV, SMI, Conventional, Run, etc.)
• Any special considerations (e.g. altered light cycle, same sex room, dedicated room, etc.)

Service/Equipment Requests are to be forwarded to LAMS main office:

Medical Sciences Bldg., Rm. R351 or faxed 558-0734.

If animals are being relocated from a non-LAMS facility or to the Cardiovascular Center’s (CVC) Transgenic Animal Barrier Facility (TABF), you will need to contact LAMS Quality Assurance to coordinate the quarantine and surveillance process: (558-5283)

Space may be limited for certain species or facilities, but we will do everything possible to accommodate your needs.
