LAMS Required Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE)

LAMS requires varying levels of PPE to protect both personnel working with animals and research animals.  Please reference PPE requirements posted on the animal facility entrance and/or individual animal room.

LAMS supplies nitrile gloves (S, M, L, XL), bonnets, gowns, shoe covers, surgical masks, and hearing protection (for large animal rooms).  Researchers must supply and launder their own lab coats.

If a different brand/style is preferred, labs are permitted to leave their own PPE in the animal room.  PPE must be stored in a sanitizable container labeled with the PI’s name.  Due to cost and required fit testing, LAMS does not supply N95 masks.
