ANIMAL HOUSING SYSTEMS


RODENT HOUSING

  1. Pressurized Individually Ventilated (PIV) Mouse Caging
    1. Provides forced ventilation directly to each cage.
    2. Equipped with automatic watering system.
    3. Cage Dimensions – 11.5” x 7.5” X 5”H.
    4. Housing Capacity – No more than 4 adult mice over 25g or 2 adults with 1 litter.
  2. SMI (Static Micro Isolator) Rodent Caging
    1. Filter top without forced ventilation.
    2. Requires water bottle or HydroPac™.
    3. Cage Dimensions – 11.5” x 7.5” x 5”H (mouse) or 19” x 10.5” x 8”H (rats/hamsters).
    4. Housing Capacity
      1. No more than 4 adult mice over 25g or 2 adults with 1 litter.
      2. No more than 2 adult rats over 500g or 1 adult with litter.
      3. No more than 3 adult hamsters.
  3. Conventional Rodent Caging
    1. Unfiltered housing for rats, hamsters, and other small rodents.
    2. Requires water bottle or HydroPac™.
    3. Cage Dimensions – 19” x 10.5” x 8”H.
    4. Housing Capacity
      1. No more than 2 adult rats over 500g or 1 adult with litter.
      2. No more than 3 adult hamsters.

RABBIT HOUSING

  1.  Stainless Steel Flush Racks
    1. Automatically flushes catch pans to reduce labor in cleaning.
    2. Not recommended if feeding vegetables, hay, or treats due to possibility of clogging drains.
    3. Cage Dimensions – 4 sq. ft.
    4. Housing Capacity – 1 rabbit up to 5.4 kg.
  2.  Stainless Steel Pan Racks
    1. Catch pan with bedding.
    2. Cage Dimensions – 5 sq. ft.
    3. Housing Capacity – 1 rabbit >5.4 kg.
  3.  Collapsible Floor Pen
    1. Animals housed directly on floor with bedding.
    2. Better socialization and increased floor space.
    3. Cage Dimensions – Varies
    4. Housing Capacity – Varies depending on size of pen.

LARGE ANIMAL KENNEL HOUSING

  1. Galvanized Chain Link Kennels with plastisol-coated expanded metal flooring.
  2. Kennel Dimensions – 25 sq. ft.
  3. Housing Capacity –
    1. Dogs – 2 per kennel up to 30 kg, 1 per kennel >30 kg.
    2. Pigs – 1 per kennel up to 100 kg.
    3. Goats/Sheep – 1 per kennel up to 50 kg.
    4. Calves – 1 per kennel<75 kg.

CATS

  1. Stainless Steel cages with plastisol-coated expanded metal flooring, resting board, and litter box.
  2. Cage Dimensions – 23” x 36” x 28”H.
  3. Housing Capacity – 1 cat.

 

FROG HOUSING

  1. Opaque polypropylene tanks with continuous flow, de-chlorinated tempered water reservoir system.
    1. Tank Dimensions – 12” x 18” x 15”H.
    2. Housing Capacity –
      1. Xenopus laevis – 8 per tank.
      2. Rana pipien/catsbeiana – 10 per tank.
