Services Covered in a Per Diem

1. Regular cage changing based upon the SOP for each animal species. 
2. Water
   1. Automatic water for cages equipped.
   2. Water bottles for cages without automatic water.
   3. Water bottle for newly weaned rodents. 
3. Standard feed and bedding.
4. Room PPE, except N95 mask.
5. Room sanitization - once every 6 months for animal rooms. 
6. Cage wash, autoclaves and support with each for caging required for animal species.
7. Facility maintenance and quality control (e.g. 24 hour alarm). 
8. Veterinary care and oversight (not protocol related). 
9. Daily observation of all animals within LAMS rooms. 
10. Rodent quality control serology - rodents evaluated 4 times each year by room, PI, and rack. 
11. Transportation of animals for UC faculty between LAMS facilities and nearby Academic Health Center affiliates.   
12. LAMS administrative support. 

Request that require additional labor or supplies are done on an "at cost" basis.
